Timeless Elegance at Pune: A Celebration of Craft, Culture & Conscious Fashion
On the 18th of October, Girhasta unfolded its legacy at the PUNE Exhibition , presenting a soulful edit steeped in heritage, elegance, and slow luxury. The energy was magnetic—from the moment the doors opened, the space shimmered with the quiet beauty of handwoven masterpieces and meaningful conversations.
This wasn’t just another showcase; it was an immersive encounter with our roots—woven, dyed, and detailed with care. Guests were welcomed into a thoughtfully curated space, where heritage Banarasi sarees mingled with festive-ready Munga silks, tissue drapes, and rare Rangkat finds.
Each corner of the Girhasta stall held a different story. The gentle sheen of Katan silk, the shimmer of zari jaals, and the soft rustle of pure handloom Chiffon made hearts pause. Patrons ran their fingers across textures passed down through generations—each thread carrying the spirit of the weaver’s hand.
Set against the elegant backdrop of the Hyatt, the Pune edition was the perfect setting for what we stand for—refined tradition, timeless design, and a return to mindful dressing. Our showcase stood out for its quiet grace—an antidote to the noise of fast fashion.
Visitors gravitated towards the detailing—tassels hand-knotted with care, meenakari borders that echoed Mughal gardens, and delicate pallas kissed with gold and silver zari. Each saree was more than an outfit—it was a narrative waiting to be worn.
What made this showcase truly special was the resonance it found with Pune’s discerning clientele. From textile enthusiasts to brides-to-be, stylists to collectors, we met women who valued the soul of a garment as much as its surface.
We unveiled some exclusive pre-Diwali edits—featuring soft pastels, glowing golds, and monsoon-toned silks. The response was deeply affirming. Sarees flew off the racks not just because they were beautiful, but because they meantsomething.
The day was also filled with beautiful interactions—styling conversations, heritage stories, and exchanges of appreciation between creators and connoisseurs. Our design team offered one-on-one guidance, helping each client find pieces that spoke to them personally.
Guests were also introduced to Girhasta’s philosophy—one that honors heritage, empowers artisans, and celebrates the saree not just as attire, but as an heirloom. Many paused to ask about the weavers, the processes, the regions—proof that stories still matter.
There was a gentle kind of magic in the air. As women tried on sarees, the stall came alive with the mirror of memories—reminding us why we began this journey in the first place.
In a world that often rushes past the handmade, this moment was a quiet rebellion. A reaffirmation that slowness can be powerful, and that elegance rooted in culture is always in style.
We left Pune with full hearts and a deeper commitment—to design with intention, to preserve our textile legacies, and to keep telling stories through our drapes.
For those who missed the event, a select edit from the exhibition is now available through our studio, by private appointment. These pieces, each handpicked for the festive season, continue to tell the story of Timeless Elegance.
As always, we’re grateful—for every visitor, every compliment, every curious question, and every saree that found its rightful home.
Stay with us as we prepare for our next showcase, and look forward to the launch of our new online experience, where the soul of Girhasta will find its digital home.
Because at Girhasta, we believe:
When worn with authenticity, tradition becomes timeless.
